Bruce Barbre, Principal

Bruce has enjoyed a long career in the elevator trade, beginning as a construction apprentice at Otis Elevator in 1981. He went on to work for Fujitec America as a construction mechanic and Westinghouse Elevator Company as a service mechanic. Eventually, Bruce moved into service adjuster and sales roles with vertical transportation and the Elevator Service Professionals.

He served as the sales and service manager at General Elevator and a regional manager at Dover Elevator Company. Bruce started his consulting career with Lerch Bates, where he spent four years prior to starting BCI in 2001.

Gary Harberson

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Gary started his career in the elevator trade in 1979. Mr. Harberson began at General Elevator Company where he served as an apprentice, mechanic, and service foreman. He moved to Dover Elevator Company as a service foreman and filled many roles during his time there. Then he worked as a service supervisor, operations manager, and national field engineer. Gary worked for Amtech Elevator Company as a national field engineer prior to joining BCI.

Nathan Jordan

Nathan began his career in the elevator trade in 2000, as a construction helper at ThyssenKrupp Elevator. In 2002, he moved to Schindler Elevator Corporation where he served in various roles that included Service/Maintenance Helper, Mechanic, Adjuster, Service Superintendent, and District Service Operations Manager. Nathan joined the BCI team as a consultant in 2019.

Andy Capan

Andy got his start in the elevator industry in 2005 as a construction helper at ThyssenKrupp Elevator. He received training from ThyssenKrupp’s top adjuster. He moved into the modernization side of the business before becoming a service mechanic in 2009.Andy was honored as one of four ThyssenKrupp service mechanics from around the globe, recognized for providing the highest level of service maintenance. He joined BCI as a consultant in 2017.

Austin Barbre

Austin’s elevator career started in 2007 at Schindler Elevator Corporation where he was a construction helper. He moved to Fujitec Elevator and worked as a service helper. Eventually, he returned to the construction side at Schindler Elevator, where he ultimately served as a mechanic. Austin joined BCI in 2019.

Ted Giraud

Ted joined BCI in 2002 after working at Lerch Bates as the office manager for the Houston branch. Before his time at Lerch Bates, Ted worked in various sales and management roles at Highlands Electronics, Circuit City, CompUSA, and Computer City.

Ted is a graduate of Lone Star College, where he earned his AGS, and also of Sam Houston State University, where he earned his BA in History. Ted also studied abroad at Oxford University, making the Dean’s Honors List and maintaining a 3.5 GPA while in attendance.

Michelle Martinez

Michelle joined BCI in 2019, after spending most of her career in the teaching profession. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, with a double major in Psychology and Victim Studies.
